We enjoyed a lovely Valentine's Day evening at home this year. Technically, we (Mommy and Daddy) are not celebrating Vday today. We are pretending it is the 24th since that is the day we are taking the tour of Napa Valley (in a limo). How's that for romance? In classic Daddy style, HE CHEATED on our gift giving rules and brought home two beautiful orange roses. He claimed they were from the children and not from him. One rose from each child for their Mommy. Awwwwwww. That's so sweet honey. You're still a cheater but I love you anyway. ;-)
J and MG made Valentines for Daddy while he was at work. J was so proud to show him when he got home. "Come look, Daddy, see what me and MG made for you" while doing his best Vanna White impression toward the dinner table. He was so proud of himself. This year, not only did he draw him a picture and sign his name but he wrote "I Love you Daddy" inside the card. That's definitely a keeper for Daddy's special card drawer. I'll add the photo later...not uploaded yet.
Daddy almost always makes dinner for us on Valentine's Day. He loves to cook so it is kind of our tradition (with a few exceptions since J was born). This year he had to go a little bland with the standard "recovering from a stomach virus" meal: Chicken and Rice. Mmmmmm. It was yummy and MG kept it down which was all the more exciting.
Happy Love Day friends. Hope your day was filled with many special moments.
