Father's Day Funnies

{Both conversations en route to church this morning}

Our plans for lunch:
J: What are we going to eat for lunch? Here are your choices: Sonic, Jason's Deli or O'Charleys?
M: Today is Father's Day, J, so Daddy gets to choose what we have for lunch
J: Why does HE get to choose?
M: Because it's FATHER'S Day
J: Well, when is it going to be SON-DAY?
M: Honey, today IS Sunday but it's also Father's Day
J: But WHEN is it going to be SON-DAY so I can choose? :-)

A conversation about camping (while driving down the interstate):
J: Will we camp over there? If we camp over there, we'll have to cut down all those trees
D: We won't camp there, J. We would camp at a campground
J: If we camp over there (pointing to trees bordering interstate) we would have to cut them down with a TRAIN-saw
D: A what?
J: You know, a TRAIN-saw
D: Oh yeah?
J: OR we could just find some beavers (You know, because we have so many beavers around here)

I love this kid. He makes me laugh like no one else. :-)
